as a part of FAMILIAE ROSEA exhibition

FAMILIAE ROSEA is a story about sea creatures and the relationship between humans and water. About beginnings and endings, both species-wide and individual. About the non-obvious cycles of life and evolution. About being entangled in the desire for a full and profound existence.

The project is an attempt to give voice to creatures whose language we do not understand.

The sound accompanying the exhibition was recorded while inflating the Ammonite form presented in the exhibition. It is the sound of fading breath, evoking associations with artificial respiration. It is the sound of inhalation and exhalation as a metaphor for survival. Air is a sign of life, but in the life of marine creatures, it becomes a symbol of death.
